This special machinery called “cutting bar” is a part of combine harvester used for harvesting graincrops. It is an extremely useful piece of equipment that is widely used by farmers and companies engaged in agriculture.
Without the cutting bar you could not harvest grain crops. The bar comes in a variety of width as per the needs and demand of different customers. The usual width of a cutting bar varies between 10 feet and 30 feet depending upon the area you want to cut. The bars can cut grasand crops effectively without any problem in short time periods.
A machine operator runs the machine to which the cutting bar is attached. Since the machine is normally used for heavy duty purpose, the cutting bar is made of strong and sturdy material such as stainless steel or iron. Earlier versions used to feature iron bars. The weight of the bars varies from 500 Kilograms to 2 tons depending upon the end use of the bars. As the the combine harvester moves forward, gras and crops are cut by the cutting bar that comes in its way.
The mechanism was originally invented in the United States by Hiram Moore in the year 1834. Various versions and modifications have finally led to the development of a more sophisticated machine which is present today.
United Kingdom, United States and France are the major producers of cutting bars. Some of the popular and leading brands engaged in manufacturing this useful product are John Deere, Cheval, Massey Ferguson, Case IH, Sund and Claas.
